Sirloin steak has a good balance of lean meat to fat, and is a flavorful cut that’s perfect for anyone who loves a satisfying steak without the hefty price tag. It’s a versatile cut, coming from the rear section of the cow, and is perfect for that hungry pack of teenagers who want to throw something on the grill, and are also great pan-seared or broiled, as they cook quickly—usually in about 6-8 minutes for medium-rare, depending on thickness. It’s great on its own or can be used in stir-fries, steak salads, or sliced thin for sandwiches. Since our beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, our sirloins are leaner than our other cuts like ribeye, so be sure to maximize its tenderness by not to overcooking it. Let it temper at room temperature for about an hour before cooking and allow it to rest for 5 minutes after cooking to lock in those juices, and you’ve got a delicious, no-fuss steak dinner!
