Wild caught sockeye salmon portions from Kodiak, AK. These salmon are caught, and quickly and carefully processed with a saltwater wash by the same family in Kodiak. They are exceptionally rich in beta carotene compared to other wild sockeye, low in saturated fats and an excellent source of lean, delicious, sustainable protein.
Our salmon is considered sushi-grade because it is blast-frozen on the boat to -30 degrees F on and then kept below 10 degrees for over 7 days. The FDA guidelines require this freezing method in order to guarantee parasite destruction and maintain texture.
